Strategic Action Plan

Every ten years, DFWI leads the effort to update the Downtown Strategic Action Plan (SAP). DFWI partners with the City of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Transportation Authority to ensure that the vision of Downtown Fort Worth is crystal clear, the agenda is articulated and community consensus is built. During this process, planning committees are formed from the ranks of DFWI membership, funding partners and community and neighborhood organizations.

The SAP 2003 update was produced by Gideon Toal and has been officially approved by the three funding partners. The strategic planning groups have transitioned into implementation committees, and these volunteers are working to carry out the plan recommendations.

For the next 5 years, the SAP will help guide Downtown development and act as the basis for DFWI’s program of work. The 2003 Strategic Action Plan includes recommendations in six areas, each of which can be downloaded by clicking on the icons below:
