Downtown Gas Lease Update
Due to the sudden credit and stock market declines and the resulting upheaval in the national economy, downtown, like other neighborhoods in the Barnett Shale, has received word that our gas leasing agreement has been put on indefinite hold. While the Gas Lease Committee had accepted an offer, that offer was rescinded. Chesapeake, XTO and Finley Resources have each have expressed an interest in resuming leasing when the markets are more favorable and DFWI stands ready to serve the Committee at the appropriate time. We will be in contact with you when the leasing dialogue resumes.
