History

On Monday, March 26th, 2007, Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. celebrated its 25th anniversary with a black-tie gala event at the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall. In commemoration of this occasion, DFWI presented the inaugural Downtown Fort Worth Trailblazer Awards. The awards were juried by former Fort Worth Mayor Kenneth Barr; Dee Jennings of the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce; Bob Herchert from Freese and Nichols; Paul Harral, editorial director of the Star-Telegram; and Dave Feehan, president of the International Downtown Association.  DFWI Past Chair, Allan Howeth of Cantey & Hanger, L.L.P. served as jury chairman.  Award winners received a bronze sculpture crafted by Covelle Jones.

Congratulations to the winners of the 2007 Trailblazers for everything they have done to make Downtown more inviting, vibrant and beautiful.
