Arts Festival draws thousands to downtown Fort Worth

Fort Worth’s Main Street Arts Festival began Thursday morning, and runs through the weekend. The nationally recognized event draws thousands of people, and closes a large part of downtown Fort Worth through its four days. The Festival wraps up Sunday evening, and the city’s traffic patterns should be back to normal by 6:00am, Monday.

-During the Festival’s run-

Main Street is closed from 2nd to 3rd Streets, and from 5th to 9th Streets.

5th Street will be closed Thursday and Friday from Houston to Commerce Streets, except for 6:00am – 9:00am both days.

6th and 7th Streets from Houston to Commerce will be open Thursday and Friday from 6:00am – 6:00pm both days.

-From 6:00pm Friday until 6:00am Monday-

Main Street will be closed from Weatherford Street to 9th Street

1st through 8th Streets will be closed from Commerce Street to Houston Street

9th Street will be closed from Houston Street to Calhoun Street

Houston Street will be closed from 12th Street to 9th Street (open to local traffic only)

Motorists heading into downtown Fort Worth from the north on Interstate 35W are advised to use Belknap Street to enter that part of the city.

Motorists heading into downtown Fort Worth from the south on Interstate 35W are advised to use Lancaster Avenue .
