Construction around City Hall to change traffic flow and direction of parking

February 6,2017

Roadway resurfacing and pavement markings will be installed on several streets around City Hall, and the direction of traffic and parking will change to allow for better traffic flow around the building. After paving and striping work are completed, Jennings Avenue from Texas Street to West 10th Street will change from a southbound one-way street to a northbound only one-way street. Parking on Jennings, 10th and Monroe streets around City Hall will change to angled, back-in parking. Work is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., Friday, Feb. 10. and be finished by 5 p.m., Saturday, Mar. 4. Throughout the process, street closures are necessary so motorists and pedestrian traffic should plan to use alternative routes.

Street closures:
• 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10
Jennings Avenue from West 10th Street to East Lancaster
• 6 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11
