Traffic switch to new Henderson Street scheduled for Friday, July 31

WHERE: SH 199/Henderson Street between W. Peach Street and White Settlement Road

WHEN: Starting Thursday, July 30 at 7 p.m. until Friday, July 31 at 6 a.m., weather permitting

WHAT: As part of the Trinity River Vision (TRV)/Panther Island Bridge construction, a traffic switch is scheduled on SH 199/Henderson Street from the existing detour to the original alignment . Construction crews will close down the inside lanes of both northbound and southbound Henderson Street between W. Peach Street and Calvert Street starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 30 to remove traffic barrier and install new pavement markings and striping. Motorists will be switched to the new pavement by 6 a.m. on Friday, July 31.

The $65.5 million TRV/Panther Island Bridges project is a collaborative effort between the Trinity River Vision Authority, Texas Department of Transportation, City of Fort Worth and North Central Texas Council of Governments. This project will enhance the Trinity River by building three new V-pier bridges on Henderson, North Main and White Settlement. Overall project completion is scheduled in 2018.
