Festivals and Events

DFWI and the PID are proud to present two of the biggest annual events in Downtown Fort Worth. We invite you to join the fun – admission is free!

MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival

The MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival is the third-ranked fine arts fair in America and Fort Worth's most honored event.  The festival runs the length of historic Main Street, filling downtown with a juried art fair, stellar musical acts, delicious food, performance artists, kids' activities, a unique film festival, and surprises at every turn.

Chesapeake Energy Parade of Lights

The annual Chesapeake Energy Parade of Lights presented by CHASE is a fun and fabulous spectacle, featuring more than 100 floats and marching units gliding through the Downtown streets on the day after Thanksgiving.  Santa makes his Fort Worth debut at the end of the Parade of Lights, then celebrates at the lighting of the beautiful Sundance Square Christmas Tree.

The above events are produced by Downtown Fort Worth Initiatives, Inc., and are programs supported by the Fort Worth Public Improvement District (PID #1).  The PID also provides staff assistance for other Downtown special events such as the Tarrant County Veteran's Day Parade, Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Parade and Cowtown Crusin' for a Cure.

Over the Edge in Downtown Fort Worth

Other organizations have golf tournaments... We climb down skyscrapers!

Downtown Fort Worth is known for its innovative and out-of-the-box thinking, and this event is just one more example!  This year more than 50 participants took a leap of faith as they rappelled 26 stories down XTO Energy's beautifully renovated 714 Main building.  Learn more about their journey and find out how you can get involved next year!
