UPDATE: Due to wet and cold weather contractor is behind on schedule and trying to keep up. They are still working on phase 4 area and schedule to complete in two weeks, weather permitting. Striping contractor is also keep working in different areas. Please note, City personnel are trying to address complaints as they are received. Please do not park at covered meters within the construction zone as it could result in your vehicle being towed.

The Downtown Rehabilitation program will repair damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curb and gutter, plus install ADA compliant curb ramps on select streets. It also includes new asphalt roadways and pavement markings.

Areas in red on the map have completed their concrete rehabilitation and will be milled and resurfaced with asphalt beginning in April 2022.

Streets marked in blue will begin concrete rehabilitation this year. Rehabilitation will include sidewalks and curb ramp removal and replacements. This work is being completed this year prior to the resurfacing of the asphalt in the following year.

Construction milling and overlaying will begin May 9 in the Northeast red area of the project and is scheduled to last three weeks. Once that area is complete the milling and overlaying will move to the Southeast red area. 

Project updates will be provided on the City’s website Downtown Street Resurfacing Program – Welcome to the City of Fort Worth (fortworthtexas.gov).  In addition, the City will be utilizing a texting platform for text notifications to keep stakeholders informed about upcoming construction activities. Stakeholders can opt-in to receive these text notifications in advance of construction, starting by texting “HELLO” to (833) 233-9890.
