Featuring new premier meeting and conference spaces, upgraded rooms, and a 200-seat restaurant, the Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown is now open to guests after undergoing a $50 million transformation.

One of the largest-ever hotel renovations in the Fort Worth region, the design and amenities are part of Sheraton’s new signature experience being implemented worldwide.

The hotel, located at 1701 Commerce Street, is across the street from the Fort Worth Convention Center and a short walk to some 75 restaurants and dozens of entertainment venues. Aimbridge Hospitality operates Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown.

“Nearly every inch of the hotel has been upgraded from the original design, from the lobby to the top floor Trinity-suite, said General Manager Damien O’Connor. “We have created a place that is welcoming and comfortable for all guests.”

Arriving at the hotel, guests will quickly notice the distinctive state outline of Texas on the front façade. When entering the hotel, the bright and airy lobby welcomes travelers into a calming space featuring a distinct “abstract western” décor.

Dining options include the signature restaurant-bar named West+Stone, which serves elevated entrees, such as Birria Short Ribs, Spiked Shrimp Torta and Texas Tostaditas, as well as &More by Sheraton, which offers an all-day menu and assorted beverages for in-hotel dining or takeaway.

“We want to create a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experience,” said Courtney Towson, Sheraton Forth Worth Downtown’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “We designed the layout and curated amenities to bring people together so that they may share ideas and tell stories over a meal or craft cocktail.”

The Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown offers approximately 30,000 square feet of conference space – including a large ballroom and individual breakout meeting rooms and workspaces – with the latest audiovisual technology to allow for stunning presentations and video playback. The spaces are adaptable to meet the needs of small, large and multi-room events.

Entering one of the newly modernized 403 rooms, guests will observe platform beds, 55-inch televisions, adjustable work tables, numerous charging outlets and power sources, and much-larger bathrooms.

The Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown has also expanded its suite offerings to 37 – up from a previous 25 – including one new suite with more than 1,000 square feet. The expansive top-floor Trinity Suite features a large parlor and two bedrooms with king-sized beds.

The hotel also includes a state-of-the-art fitness center and completely remodeled indoor swimming pool.

The Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown is across the street from the expanded Fort Worth Convention Center, the popular Water Gardens and the new addition to the Texas A&M University Law School. The hotel is minutes away from Dickies Arena, The Stockyards, the Near Southside neighborhood, Texas Christian University, and the Fort Worth Zoo.

“The investment made in the recently completed building renovation is equal to the addition of a brand-new hotel to our hospitality community,” said Robert Jameson, President and CEO of Visit Fort Worth. “All aspects of the hotel have been updated, creating a welcoming, comfortable, productive place to stay regardless of the reason for your travel to Fort Worth. All of us at Visit Fort Worth are proud of our partnership with the Sheraton team as we promote the great guest experience to be had at this beautiful hotel.”

The current undertaking is part of a nationwide transformation of several Sheraton hotels, including includes Denver, Phoenix, San Diego, Waikiki, Hawaii, and others.

“We have, in almost every way possible, built a brand-new hotel,” said O’Connor. “The same excellent location close to everything Fort Worth has to offer, but completely new from the lobby to the top-floor suites. It’s been a huge endeavor, but the end result has been worth the hard work and patience.”
