Marketing & Special Projects Manager
Department: Marketing, Public Improvement Districts (#1 & #14), and Administration
Position Summary:
The entry-level position develops, coordinates, and implements marketing initiatives, events, and programs for the growth and success of Downtown Fort Worth and DFWI, a civic organization with a mission to be the catalyst for transforming Downtown into a vibrant place to live, work, shop, visit, and play. This position requires a highly motivated, creative & organized professional with excellent interpersonal writing and verbal communication skills. The candidate is also experienced in web and social media content management & creation, marketing strategy development, project management, and events.
Responsibilities:
- Grow and maintain community engagement and relationships through marketing initiatives, communications, events, and programs
- Manage and expand social media presence for Downtown Fort Worth and Burnett Park
- Track social media analytics
- Create and manage content for social media and website
- Produce monthly and quarterly publications including but not limited to the DFWI e-newsletter, and In View PID newsletter
- Serve as liaison to Fort Worth Downtown Neighborhood Alliance (FWDNA) including board management, communications, membership tracking, and event support
- Manage Downtown banner program including reservations and installation schedules
- Provide support for DFWI events
- Attend and present at board meetings, DFWI member meetings, FWDNA board meetings and events
Qualifications:
- Experience in marketing, events, and project management
- Passion for, and knowledge of Downtown Fort Worth
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in social media management and content creation
- Creative with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to lead creative projects and events from concept to execution
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Canva is preferred
- Ability to work occasional nights and weekends
- Sense of humor
