Beginning Wednesday, January 7, 2026, water crews will conduct a fire hydrant leak repair at Summit Avenue and 10th Street. Two northbound lanes on Summit Avenue between Texas Street and 7th Street will be closed during repairs. Work is expected to be completed by the weekend.

800 Taylor St Crane Closure

Starting Saturday, October 21 to Sunday, October 22, a two-day crane closure will be taking place downtown for 800 Taylor Street between W. 10th Street and W. 7th Street between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM for the removal and replacement of the roofing on the Fritz G. Lanham Federal Building. This project will be (3) three consecutive weekends in total. The first weekend will be for lifting new materials to the rooftop. The second weekend will be to remove the old roofing materials. The last weekend will be to finish up the project. Travel lanes will be completely closed between W. 10th Street and W. 7th Street.
