Beginning Wednesday, January 7, 2026, water crews will conduct a fire hydrant leak repair at Summit Avenue and 10th Street. Two northbound lanes on Summit Avenue between Texas Street and 7th Street will be closed during repairs. Work is expected to be completed by the weekend.

Ambassadors stay busy downtown

As more workers and visitors return to downtown Fort Worth, activity for the Downtown Ambassadors continues to pick up.

During January-April 2022, the ambassadors:

Provided hospitality assists to 17,681 residents and visitors.
Provided 313 safety escorts.
Provided 70 motorist assistance contacts.
The Ambassadors circulate throughout downtown in their vibrant green pickup, on foot, on bicycles and on Segways to help visitors, create a friendly and welcoming environment and add extra eyes and ears on the street.

The crew is on duty downtown from 7 a.m.-midnight, seven days a week. Contact the on-duty supervisor at 817-484-3723.
