Looking to level-up professionally? Grow your business and build your professional digital skills with a free series of Grow with Google
webinars from the Fort Worth Public Library.

The Library is hosting series of seven webinars, taking place every Wednesday at 2 p.m. beginning on July 29. The first three courses will be focused on job readiness skills, such as managing work and life tasks more effectively and staying productive no matter where you
are. The last four will be focused on building and running a small business and leveraging tools like YouTube and Google Maps to drive business growth.

“Supporting entrepreneurs and job-seekers is one great way the Library supports our community as a whole,” said Jana Hill, the Library’s Adult Services Manager. “This program will help the Library put more digital tools in the hands of our professional and small
business community.”

Participants can register for any or all of the webinars individually online.

This program is funded by Libraries Lead with Digital Skills, an initiative of ALA and the Public Library Association (PLA), sponsored by Grow with Google, the tech company’s economic opportunity initiative. The goal is to help local libraries combine their own offerings with Grow with Google training materials  to offer resources aimed at empowering small businesses to grow online or assisting job seekers to prepare for and find work.

“Libraries have long been America’s gathering place for learning. From learning new digital skills for the workplace, to creating a résumé or growing your business online, people are going to libraries as resources for professional growth now more than ever,” said Nicky Rigg, program manager for Digital Skills outreach at Google. “Grow with Google is excited to support library programs across the country to help ensure that economic opportunity exists for everyone.”
