As more residents are staying home, it’s normal to have increased garbage. Fort Worth’s solid waste services reminds everyone to be diligent and use all the services in place in Fort Worth. Here are some tips to help:

  • Minimize waste placed in the brown cart and maximize items that can be recycled in the blue cart. Don’t forget that all recyclables should be empty, clean and dry.
  • Take excess materials to one of the four conveniently located drop-off stations. Dispose of garbage, recycling, yard waste, brush, bulk waste, appliances, household chemicals and donations for Goodwill.
  • All the services at the drop-off stations are safer with new processes that allows residents to keep an appropriate social distance from staff members. Show an identification through the car window to the onsite staff.
  • Drink tap water or filtered water to reduce the number of plastic bottles.
