Premier, an end-to-end, architecture, interior design, procurement and project management firm, will lead the redevelopment of the 13-story Le Méridien Hotel, formerly known as the Hotel Texas Annex, in downtown Fort Worth, TX. In partnership with Marriott and Blueprint Hospitality, Premier will breathe new life into the existing shell of a building by conceptualizing each space within the hotel to celebrate the building’s history and local flavor of Fort Worth. With the Fort Worth Convention Center Expansion slated to start in spring of 2023, the location will be a hub for out-of-town guests and locals to gather.

Le Méridien Fort Worth will deliver a modern interpretation of a classic mid-century modern design that will pay homage to the historic building built in the brutalist style. A blending of seemingly opposite ideologies runs deep through Fort Worth’s soul. Where ruggedness is juxtaposed by a sense of refinement and masculine venues stand alongside artistic aesthetics. Melding Texan bravado with European flair, Le Méridien Fort Worth is where cowboys meet culture.

The design will embrace these two different worlds colliding in the most imperfectly perfect way. Through mid-century modern inspired furnishes, mixing of metals and materials and curated art and accessories, the Le Méridien Fort Worth will be like no other. A place to be inspired and a place to relax and recharge.

The redevelopment will incorporate an interactive lobby bar experience, library featuring a working record player, state of the art fitness center, meeting space filled with natural daylight and direct adjacency to the overhauled pool on the 6th floor, guestrooms, suites and the addition of a roof-top deck on the 14th floor.

“The redevelopment will incorporate an interactive lobby bar experience and an exciting new rooftop bar on the 14th floor,” said Leslie Wynne (pictured above), designer manager, Premier. “These spaces will serve as a hub for guests and Fort Worth locals to gather, work and kick back with a curated cocktail. The guestrooms will cater to the modern traveler and celebrate mid-century modern design with floor-to-ceiling windows that will flood the rooms with natural light. Guestrooms on the interior of the building will overlook the new pool and pool deck on the 6th floor with integrated turf and black and white stripe umbrellas that will draw anyone down to take a dip in the pool on a hot summer day.”

The redevelopment of the 189-room hotel kicked off this month and is slated to open in 2023.
