Toro Toro Fort Worth Presents A Mayan Brunch Featuring Chef Richard Sandoval

WHAT: Fort Worth’s culinary event of the season. This Fall, Toro Toro will launch ‘Dia de Los Muertos,’ an immersive campaign that pays tribute to the rich Mexican history through food, drink, and sharing. Elevating the celebration, Toro Toro by Chef Richard Sandoval presents a brunch and traditional Mayan Copal Ceremony guided by Healer Nataline Cruz on October 22 from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Cruz will perform the Copal Ceremony in which she burns the tree resin of pre-Columbian Meso-American tribes used for healings to balance all participants with smoke to begin the special brunch. Cruz’s ceremony will encompass honoring our ancestral heritage and paying tribute to our loved ones who have passed. Patrons are invited to bring a photograph of their loved ones who have passed to pay tribute in the ceremony and leave on the Dia de los Muertos Offrenda that will be displayed. Following the ceremony, guests will experience a special Dia de los Muertos four-course brunch vibrant with authentic Mayan flavors hosted by Chef Richard Sandoval.
The four-course menu includes a first course of Tortilla Talavera; second course is a hearty Antokitos Plate which includes Red Snapper Ceviche, Chicken Anticucho, Short Birria Rib Taco; Brisket Benedict with Mole Coloradito Enchilada, and Potatoes as the third course; and ending on a sweet note with a Waffle and Cranberry Compote.
Patrons who purchase their tickets by October 5 will join Chef Richard Sandoval for an exclusive Meet + Greet Tequila Hour and receive a limited offer swag bag. Complimentary valet parking is available. Guests are also welcome to submit or bring a photograph of their loved ones who have passed to pay tribute in the ceremony and leave on the Día de Los Muertos Ofrenda.
