A Tarrant County tradition held since 1929, the event brings together veterans, local leaders and families to honor the service members who gave their lives for the nation.
WHO: Mount Olivet Cemetery is part of a not-for-profit community institution established in 1907. This year’s service is expected to include local dignitaries, military personnel and several hundred patriotic citizens as they pay tribute to the legacy of those interred at one of the South's first perpetual care cemeteries. A list of speakers will be updated online as persons are confirmed. U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Richard E. "Tex" Brown III is this event’s keynote speaker.
WHAT: One of the oldest and most respected Memorial Day ceremonies in the country. The 97th annual service features a traditional program of remembrance including military honors, patriotic music and heartfelt tributes to fallen heroes.
