Aaron Copland was the quintessential American composer in the 20th century. Don’t miss the FWSO and conductor Tomáš Netopil’s performance of his third and final symphony, a fusion of his famous balletic style from works like Appalachian Spring and Rodeo with the European symphonic form. Also on the program are Rachmaninoff’s titanic Piano Concerto No. 2 and Dvořák’s bright and festive Carnival Overture.
