Since then, he’s spent decades playing with the world’s leading conductors and orchestras, earning awards and rave reviews for both his dazzling technique and touching lyricism. Don’t miss the special gala appearance when he joins the FWSO and Music Director Robert Spano in Brahms’ intense Violin Concerto, written with all the creativity and care in the world for the composer’s dear friend. The evening begins with a rare treat: Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis for strings alone, one of the most sublimely peaceful works in the classical canon.
