Houston-based Zamco Properties on Thursday released conceptual renderings of The Worth, its planned 30-story condo tower on the west edge of downtown Fort Worth along the Trinity River.

The project, which will face west Bluff Street, received approval for those concepts from the Downtown Design Review Board. It's six stories higher than what was planned in the fall when the project was announced.

The building will be bounded by North Henderson, Mills and West Peach streets.

"We have been very pleased with our conversations with City staff and their excitement about The Worth framing an entrance into downtown and Panther Island from the new bridge being built on Henderson,” Robert Zamorano, Zamco Properties president, said in a statement.

The Worth, designed at GDA Architects, will have 135 condos, 20 more than initially planned, offering sweeping views of downtown, the Cultural District and the Trinity River.

The Worth sales office is expected to open near the site in the second quarter, the developer said.
