The GM Financial Parade of Lights illuminates the streets of downtown Fort Worth for its 44th year at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22, marking the city’s official kickoff to the holiday season.

Themed “A Legacy of Lights,” the 2026 parade honors more than four decades of community tradition. The 1.59-mile route features more than 100 professionally designed illuminated floats, marching bands, decorated antique cars, horse-drawn carriages and carolers, culminating with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus on a specially illuminated float.

Kyle Birch, president of North American operations for GM Financial, will serve as grand marshal.

Make a full day of it in downtown Fort Worth with festive shopping, seasonal décor, holiday cocktails and dining and special events throughout the district before the parade begins.

The parade is free and open to the public; reserved “street seats” for prime viewing start at $15.75 for children and $19.50 for adults.

Watch live on Sunday, Nov. 22, and catch the rebroadcast of the holiday magic on Christmas Eve on KTXA-21.
