Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Lioness’ to film at downtown Fort Worth restaurant and hotel

Taylor Sheridan’s “Lioness” will close streets around downtown Fort Worth for season 3 filming.

The Paramount+ series began production on its third season in Cowtown in October 2025. The show has already filmed in and around the city, including in north Fort Worth at SGS Studios and in the University West neighborhood near TCU.

Streets in downtown Fort Worth will be impacted by the production on Saturday, March 7, through Thursday, March 12, according to Downtown Fort Worth, Inc.

Here’s what to know.

‘Lioness’ closing streets in downtown Fort Worth

“Lioness” is gearing up to film in and around Wicked Butcher and the Sinclair Hotel at 512 Main St.

There will be two preparation days on March 7-8, two filming days on March 9-10 and two wrap days on March 11-12. The following closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day:

March 7-8: The 100 block of Fifth Street between Houston and Main streets and two lanes on the 500 block of Houston Street between Fourth and Fifth streets.

March 9-10: Two lanes on the 500 block of Houston Street between Fourth and Fifth streets. The 500-600 block of Main Street between Fourth and Sixth streets, 100-200 block of Fifth Street between Houston and Commerce streets and the 100 block of Fourth Street between Houston and Main streets.

March 11-12: Two lanes on the 500 block of Houston Street between Fourth and Fifth streets, one lane on the 100 block of Fifth Street between Houston and Main streets and two lanes on the 500 block of Main Street between Fourth and Fifth streets.

There will also be intermittent traffic control on the 100-200 block of East Sixth Street between Houston and Commerce streets from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on March 9.

During filming, all downtown businesses will remain open and Fort Worth police will be on-site to facilitate traffic.

“Lioness” follows CIA operative Joe (Zoe Saldaña) as she balances her “personal and professional lives as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war on terror.”

Season 1 filmed in Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C., Paris and Mallorca, Spain. For season 2, the series primarily filmed in and around North Texas, including in Fort Worth, Weatherford, Strawn, Stephenville and Glen Rose.

In addition to Saldaña, “Lioness” stars Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Laysla De Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez, Michael Kelly, Dave Annable, James Jordan, Ian Bohen, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill and Hannah Love Lanier.

“Lioness” seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Paramount+.
