Trinity Metro will announce its next color-coded bus line tomorrow, Friday, March 6, 2026, during Visit Fort Worth’s 2026 Annual Meeting at the Fort Worth Convention Center Arena.

Trinity Metro’s color-coded bus initiative is designed to simplify transit, create intuitive connections, and celebrate the distinct neighborhoods and destinations that make Fort Worth special. By pairing bold, memorable colors with high-visibility corridors, Trinity Metro is making it easier than ever for residents and visitors alike to move confidently throughout the city.

“Our color-coded bus lines are about clarity and pride,” said Rich Andreski, President and CEO of Trinity Metro. “When someone can say ‘take the Orange Line’ or ‘ride the Blue Line,’ it becomes intuitive and it becomes part of the Fort Worth experience. We’re thrilled to share what’s next with the hospitality and tourism leaders gathered at Visit Fort Worth’s Annual Meeting.” At the same time, these lines reflect the identity and energy of the communities they serve.

Building On the Momentum of Orange and Blue Lines

Trinity Metro launched the Orange Line in September 2024 to connect Downtown Fort Worth and the Stockyards, with frequent service and extended hours, developed in partnership with community and tourism partners. With their bright orange exteriors, Western themed artwork, cowprint seats, and other nods to Fort Worth’s heritage, the new buses immediately signaled that the ride itself was part of the Stockyards experience for both locals and visitors. Trinity Metro saw increased ridership, with customers citing the artwork, frequent service, and a clean and safe ride as highlights of the experience.

In 2025, Trinity Metro launched the Blue Line as the second color-coded route, delivering a high-frequency, downtown circulator experience supported by partners including free rides year-round enabled through partnerships with Visit Fort Worth and Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. The Blue Line began service June 8, 2025, with buses arriving about every seven minutes to connect key downtown destinations and major transit connections. Designed to enhance walkability and accessibility in the urban core, the Blue Line has helped residents, workers, students, and visitors seamlessly connect to jobs, restaurants, cultural venues, and major transit hubs.

A Natural Fit for Fort Worth Tourism and Hospitality

Together, these lines represent more than new routes; they reflect a shift toward a simpler, more intuitive, and more community-connected transit experience.

The announcement will take place in front of the city’s hospitality and entertainment community at Visit Fort Worth’s Annual Meeting, where leaders will highlight tourism performance and what’s ahead for the city.

“Great transit enhances a great visitor experience,” said Anette Landeros, Chief Strategy Officer of Trinity Metro. “When it’s easy to understand and easy to use, it helps guests explore more of Fort Worth and helps locals rediscover our city.”

Additional details about the new line including its color, route, service features, and launch timeline will be announced on March 6.
