Guide: Fall in Downtown Fort Worth
Fall Comes to Burnett Park
Burnett Park will be buzzing this fall with free programming designed to give Downtown residents, employees, families, and visitors more ways to enjoy the outdoors.
Get Moving on Tuesdays
Beginning in October, Move Tuesdays will bring free fitness and wellness classes to Burnett Park each week through December. The rotating lineup will include activities like Pilates, yoga, shadowboxing, and more.
Whether you work Downtown and need a midday reset or simply want to take your workout outside, grab your mat, bring some water, and join us in the park.
Spend Your Lunch Break with Live Music
Wednesdays are getting a soundtrack this fall. 🎶
Our Music Wednesdays lunchtime series also begins in October and continues through December, with live musicians performing in Burnett Park from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Pick up lunch from your favorite Downtown restaurant, find a spot in the park, and enjoy an hour of live music in the middle of your week.
Movie Nights Return to Burnett Park 🎬
Grab a blanket, bring your lawn chairs, and settle in for Movie Nights in Burnett Park, featuring four family-friendly films and themed activities before each movie.
Mark your calendars for:
- September 18 | Zootopia 2 🐾
- October 16 | Hotel Transylvania 🎃
- November 19 | Sonic the Hedgehog 3 ⚡
- December 18 | The Santa Clause 🎅
Each evening will offer a different experience inspired by the featured film, giving families another free way to enjoy Downtown Fort Worth after hours.
Get Boo-ked in Burnett Park 📚👻
Book lovers, this one is for you.
On October 10, Burnett Park will host Boo-ked for the Night, a fall evening celebrating books, local authors, and community.
The evening will include local authors and vendors, a Silent Reading Hour from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by music with a live DJ from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Guests are also encouraged to dress as their favorite book character.
Bring a book, blanket, and your favorite reading buddy for a cozy fall night Downtown.
Say Farewell to the Fort Worth Convention Center Arena
September will also mark the end of an era in Downtown Fort Worth.
On September 20, the community is invited to say goodbye to the Fort Worth Convention Center Arena with a special farewell celebration before the longtime landmark makes way for the next chapter of the Convention Center.
For generations of Fort Worth residents who have attended concerts, sporting events, graduations, and countless other gatherings inside its walls, it will be one final opportunity to celebrate the memories and history of the arena.
Catch a Show Downtown
Burnett Park isn’t the only place with a packed fall calendar.
Families can head to Bass Performance Hall September 19 and 20 for Bluey’s Big Play, bringing the beloved characters from the hit children’s series to the stage.
Looking for a date night or an evening with friends? Comedian Rocky Dale Davis comes to Hyena’s Comedy Nightclub October 2 and 3.
Then, on October 23, Texas country favorite Pat Green takes the stage at Bass Performance Hall for another can’t-miss Downtown performance.
