Sundance Square’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

November 23, 2019

Sundance Square’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony marks the start of the holiday season in Downtown! Come countdown to the moment the beautiful tree lights up the night in Sundance Square Plaza. Festivities begin at 6:00pm. Learn more here.

GM Financial Parade of Lights

November 24, 2019

Experience the magic of the GM Financial Parade of Lights! This holiday tradition celebrates its 37th year with over 100 floats, giant illuminated balloons, performing groups, local community groups, and more. This year’s parade theme, “Sounds of the Season”, will feature live music by local musicians leading up to and during the parade. Free viewing areas will be available along the parade route, and reserved seating options are available now. Learn more here.

Holiday Shopping in Sundance Square

Holiday shopping for your entire family has never been so easy. Sundance Square spans over 35 blocks of Downtown, and is filled with over 20 shops. You’ll find toys, clothes, sports apparel, jewelry, and more in the shops of Sundance Square. We can’t forget to mention that free valet parking is available for your shopping experience, just be sure to have your ticket validated at a qualifying merchant. Learn more here.

Holiday Artisan Markets in the Sundance Pavilion

Every Wednesday from 4-7pm, stop by the Sundance Pavilion for the Holiday Artisan Market! Shop from a variety of local artisans and craft food vendors that will be on-site selling their locally sourced foods and goods. Learn more here.


THEATRE

Bass Hall

There are a number of performances happening at Bass Hall that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit. From Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra’s Home for the Holidays series to Robert Earl Keen’s Countdown to Christmas – there will be a variety of holiday tunes for everybody to sing along to! Visions of sugar plums will be dancing in your head with 20 chances to catch Texas Ballet Theater’s The Nutcracker. Inside the more intimate space of McDavid Studio, Bruce Robison & Kelly Willis and UNT’s One O'Clock Lab Band will spread some holiday cheer. But, that’s not all! Jubilee Theatre’s If Scrooge Was a Brother

November 22 – December 22, 2019    

It’s Christmas Eve and Eb Scroo is seeking to snuff out the season’s cheer in Jubilee Theatre’s holiday production. In this new take on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, the ghosts and characters are icons of Black culture performing gospel, R&B, and even reggae songs. Learn more here.

Circle Theatre’s Holiday Punch

December 7, 2019

This annual holiday show offers an inspiring twist. Patrons and art lovers alike are invited to commission a playwright to turn a favorite holiday memory into an artfully re-imagined short monologue. The monologues performed at Holiday Punch may be true to life, slightly embellished, or full of holiday spirit! The evening benefiting the work of Circle Theatre will also feature prize drawings, heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine, craft beer, and live music. Learn more here.
