9th annual U.S. Army Corps of Engineers conference June 23

The Fort Worth district of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host their 9th annual Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Networking and Teaming Conference June 23 in downtown Fort Worth.

According to a news release, the conference will start at 9 a.m. and go until 4 p.m. and will be held in the Fritz G. Lanham Federal Building Room 4A14H.

Two of the speakers for the event include:

• Gregory James (Director/Principal Investigator for the Cross Timbers Procurement Center at the University of Texas at Arlington)

• Charlie Hart (President of the Society of American Military Engineers Fort Worth Post)

According to the news release, this conference provides networking opportunities with contractors who often work with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and is free to small business owners.

The news release said that there will be other organizations and agencies participating in the conference such as:

• the Small Business Administration

• the Veterans Administration

• the General Service Administration

• the Trinity River Vision Authority

• the Cross Timbers Procurement Technical Assistance Center at UT Arlington

The conference will be held at 819 Taylor Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102 and there will be free public parking available.
