Changes Coming for Downtown Loading Zones

The City of Fort Worth is working on making loading zone rules clearer.  Too many unauthorized vehicles are using loading zones, requiring delivery trucks to double park in downtown travel lanes.  This creates traffic problems and safety issues.  Transportation & Public Works has been collaborating with downtown stakeholders to identify possible solutions.  One proposed solution is to make loading zone signage clearer to drivers.  A more challenging but more customer-friendly technique is to create customized hours for loading zone problem areas.  If you have a loading zone problem, please e-mail Melissa Konur at melissa@dfwi.org.  We will make sure your issue is part of this discussion.
