Beginning Wednesday, January 7, 2026, water crews will conduct a fire hydrant leak repair at Summit Avenue and 10th Street. Two northbound lanes on Summit Avenue between Texas Street and 7th Street will be closed during repairs. Work is expected to be completed by the weekend.

Federal shutdown delays TEXRail opening

Trinity Metro decided to delay opening of TEXRail due to the federal shutdown. A section of rail that runs under Spur 280 has not been certified the Federal Railroad Administration.
