Fort Worth's latest hotspot isn't a trendy bar or a boutique shop - it's the new Downtown Express Library, nestled in the heart of City Hall at 200 Texas St. City dwellers with a thirst for knowledge can now quench it at an open house scheduled for Friday, March 29, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., as announced on the City of Fort Worth. Fort Worth Public Library Director Midori Clark will be there to greet guests, overseeing an event complete with refreshments and a grand tour of this innovative space.

Not content to simply check out a book, visitors will be able to quickly access free WiFi browse more than 800 on-site titles, and fully embrace the digitized era by digitally accessing the Fort Worth Public Library’s entire catalog.

To streamline the book-borrowing experience, a self-serve kiosk is in place to let patrons swiftly check out their selections.

Additionally, a drive-up book drop offers the ultimate convenience for busy bibliophiles needing quickly to return their reads.

The new library is tailored to the rhythms of city life, welcoming readers and researchers from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a pause in operations between 1 and 2 p.m. each day. This latest addition to Fort Worth's public amenities reflects the city's ongoing commitment to literacy, education, and community engagement.
