Beloved FunkyTown Donuts is expanding to a second location in Ft. Worth - this time with beer.

The updated moniker FunkyTown Donuts & Drafts will soon debut at 132 E. Fourth Street in Sundance Square in late spring or early summer. It’ll bring the same doughy offerings from its existing shop at 1000 Eighth Ave, reports CultureMap.

Doughnut lovers can expect FunkyTown’s rotating assortment of flavors and its gluten-free and vegan doughnuts on Sundays and Wednesdays, which trades off with cake doughnuts on the other days.

A menu of craft beers, coffee, and cold brews will be added to the rotating lineup. This isn’t the first foray into beer for the brand. It teamed up with Legal Draft Beer Co. to offer doughnuts with flights of beer at the brewery’s tap room last fall.

“Those events are super successful, they sell out every time,” Angie Moors, co-owner with husband Brandon, told Eater. “We thought it would be fun and different to do it permanently and a great fit for Sundance Square.”

Moors says the new shop will have three to five rotating draft beers from all local breweries that they’ll pair with its menu offerings. Moors says they’ll stock Legal Draft along with her personal favorites from Revolver. “My husband and I are big craft beer fans, and we love all of the Ft. Worth breweries,” she told Eater.

To accommodate its expanded offerings, the outpost across from Bass Performance Hall will be open from morning through evening to provide sweet treats for the post-show crowd, unlike the business’ other location which closes shop by early afternoon.
