December 6,2011
PLANO, Texas – Dec. 6, 2011 - The North Texas Tollway Authority will host a meeting for residents and commuters living and working near Interstate 30 and downtown Fort Worth Monday, Dec. 19, 6 p.m., at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, 3200 Botanic Garden Boulevard in Fort Worth. The meeting will be held in the Lecture Hall.
During the meeting, representatives from the NTTA will give an overview of the Chisholm Trail Parkway and the anticipated construction schedule for the project. The NTTA will hold similar meetings with neighborhood groups along other parts of the Chisholm Trail Project corridor as the project progresses.
“The NTTA is committed to partnering with communities affected by construction of the Chisholm Trail Parkway,” said Elizabeth Mow, interim executive director of project delivery for the NTTA. “As construction progresses it is our goal to keep commuters and residents abreast of construction schedules and potential traffic impacts.”
Crews will soon begin working along I-30 to construct the mainlanes of the Chisholm Trail Parkway. Work on the project has been ongoing in the Hulen Street bridge area and will be ramping up along other parts of the corridor.
The Chisholm Trail Parkway will be a 27.6-mile toll road that stretches from I-30 at Fort Worth's central business district to U.S. 67 in Cleburne. The entire project is expected to open to traffic mid-2014.
