Part of 10th Street to be closed starting May 10

May 7,2021

Reposted from The City of Fort Worth.

Expect lane closures on 10th Street in downtown Fort Worth starting Monday, May 10 so a Fort Worth Water Department contractor can work on a manhole that’s part of a capital improvement project.

The closure will start at Fort Worth City Hall -- at Monroe Street -- and go west to the Federal Building at Taylor Street. Traffic control will be in place east to Jennings Avenue. All westbound lanes will be open just west of Taylor Street.

Drivers can use the parking lane on the south side of 10th Street to navigate through the block. All other lanes will be closed around the clock. Motorists will be able to turn right onto Taylor Street to access the Federal Building parking garage.

This will also impact the city annexes and A.D. Marshall Public Safety Building.

The manhole work starts May 11. Construction is projected to be finished by mid-June.
