Provide comments for COVID-19 relief funds by April 30

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, known as the CARES Act, provides supplemental funding for grants to prevent, prepare for and respond to coronavirus. The City of Fort Worth is seeking residents’ input to inform plans to allocate this funding.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to share written comments about the needs of the community related to COVID-19. Examples of proposed funding areas include emergency rental assistance, senior services, employment-related programs and homelessness prevention.

Submit comments by 5 p.m. April 30:

Requests for proposals/qualifications applications will be available mid-May for public service agencies, private-sector entities with housing expertise, including property management nonprofit organizations, and eligible entities serving low- to moderate-income families in Fort Worth.

Funding sources include Community Development Block Grant and Emergency Solutions Grant.
