Sundance Square Teams Up with City of Fort Worth Animal Care & Control Center for “Adopt A Reindeer” Night During Movie

Sundance Square is showing Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, on July 18 with “Christmas in July” festivities to coincide with the showing. Teaming up with the City of Fort Worth’s Animal Care & Control Center for adopt a “reindeer” night, twenty dogs will be available for adoption with Sundance Square providing reindeer antlers for each. 

Mike Micallef, president of Reata Restaurant, will be the MC for the event. The plaza will feature a wintery landscape with artificial snow and icy treats from MELT Ice Creams with a special Christmas flavor for the evening. Don’t let the Grinch steal your Christmas cheer or your delicious creation from Funky Town Donuts & Drafts. Guests also will want to stop by the gif booth to capture the perfect photo with fun winter-themed props. 

All festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. with Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch starting at 8:30 pm on Sundance Square’s digital screen, which offers guests a dynamic sight and sound for the best outside movie experience. 

Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch is a 2018 American computer-animated Christmas comedy film.  It stars the voices of Benedict Cumberbatch, Rashida Jones, Kenan Thompson, Cameron Seely, and Angela Lansbury, and is narrated by Pharrell Williams. The plot follows the Grinch as he plans to ruin Whoville’s Christmas celebration by stealing all the town’s decorations and gifts.

Moviegoers are invited to bring blankets or chairs for seating in the plaza. Beverages will be available for purchase in the plaza during the movies and restaurants will be open throughout the evening. Coolers and outside food or drink are not permitted, and Sundance Square Plaza is smoke free. Parking is always free weekdays after 5 p.m. in Sundance Square’s parking garages.
