The Giving Machines are coming to North Texas. Americans use vending machines for soft drinks, snacks, electronics, vehicles, and now charitable donations. North Texans have a new, convenient way to help those in need both locally and across the world this holiday season.

The Giving Machines are charitable donation vending machines that use credit or debit cards.
The Giving Machines are a charitable way to give tangible items to those in need during the holiday season. According to Cadie Connors with The Giving Machines, all purchased items from the giant red vending machines are donated to those in need across the world via well-known charitable organizations such as UNICEF, Care, the American Red Cross, among others. The North Texas machines will also feature local charities to assist residents throughout the Metroplex. Connors says patrons receive a card indicating what they’ve purchased for donation, and a 100% tax deductible receipt. Those using the vending machines can choose from a number of charitable items priced between $5 and $150.

Connors says the charitable event has raised $22-million over the last 7 years, and continues to expand after visiting just 30 U.S. cities last year to spreading to 61 metro areas this year. All operating expenses for The Giving Machines are covered by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, as part of the church’s “Light the World” campaign. The Giving Machines will be at Fort Worth’s Sundance Square (December 5th – 7th, including a special Christmas Lighting Ceremony with Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker and a free concert by Marie Osmond on December 6th); next to Grapevine City Hall (December 9th – 17th); and downtown McKinney (December 19th through January 1st).
