Hospitality
Downtown Fort Worth offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern amenities, an extraordinarily clean public realm, and a well-coordinated safety culture. This combination sets the stage for Downtown as a prime hospitality destination.
With the opening of Le Méridien and the Avid hotel Fort Worth Downtown, Downtown’s hotel room inventory grew to 3,999 rooms, an 8% increase from the previous year. There are 1,440 new hotel rooms in various planning stages, including the 245-unit Sandman Signature Hotel, which is expected to reopen in 2026.
Data from CoStar indicates that by Q4 2025, Downtown’s 12-month hotel occupancy rate remained at 69%, showing no change from Q4 2024. During the same period, the 12-month average market price per room was $180, a decrease of 2% compared to Q4 2024.
The Fort Worth Convention Center expansion continues with Phase 2. This project is scheduled for completion in 2030 and is expected to markedly expand the number of groups Downtown can host. This, in turn, should create demand for more hotels and boost restaurant and retail sales.
The project’s Phase 1 has straightened Commerce Street, creating three new developable city blocks. This site is expected to house a Fort Worth Convention Center headquarters hotel of between 600 and 1,000 rooms.
