5 Mayoral Candidate Forums Happening Around Fort Worth

With elections for Fort Worth mayor and city council right around the corner, campaigns and events are taking place both in-person and online to help voters get to know the candidates a little better. These events will be held throughout the next few weeks and will touch on topics such as transit and downtown issues.

Fort Worth Mayoral Candidate Forum
The Texas Public Policy Foundation and the Fort Worth Liberty Leadership Council are hosting their own forum, where candidates in attendance will talk about their vision for the future of Fort Worth. It will take place in the Top of the Town Room on the 12th floor of the Fort Worth Club, and the Fort Worth Club garage will have complimentary parking. You can register here for free. The event will be on March 29 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Tarrant Transit Alliance Mayoral Candidate Forum
The Fort Worth mayoral candidates will talk about transit and give their opinions on future plans. Members along with patrons of the Tarrant Transit Alliance are welcome to join via Zoom, and the general public can watch through Facebook Live. The event will take place March 30 at 6 p.m.

Mayoral Candidate Forum, hosted by DFWI & FWDNA
A mayoral candidate forum will take place in Burnett Park to discuss topics that affect downtown. Those who participate can submit questions via email (beckyf@dfwi.org) or onsite before the forum begins. RSVP for the mayoral candidate forum here. The event will take place on April 1 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

The park will have limited seating, and it’s recommended to bring chairs or blankets. Social distancing and all other precautions recommended by the CDC should be followed.

Mayoral Candidate Forum
This event — hosted by Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce, and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram — will be a virtual, moderated forum with Fort Worth's mayoral candidates. They will talk about issues facing the business community, including economic development, education, and workforce. This forum will take place on April 14 from 11 a.m. to noon, and you can register here.

Community Forum – Mayoral Candidates for Fort Worth
CommUnity Frontline will host a Facebook Live event with those running for mayor. The forum will take place April 28 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and is free for anyone to attend.
