DSG Will Open Kimpton Hotel in Fort Worth

Development Services Group (DSG), headquartered in Memphis, will open the 226-key Kimpton Harper hotel in downtown Fort Worth next spring. The project is an adaptive reuse of the historic Farmers and Mechanics National Bank building, which DSG acquired in 2018.

DSG has tapped Davidson Hotels & Resorts to manage the property, via Davidson’s lifestyle and luxury division, Pivot Hotels & Resorts. The Kimpton Harper will feature a penthouse bar and lounge, the Il Modo restaurant, a rooftop observation deck and the Kimpton brand’s signature amenities.

“Pivot understands how to serve guests who desire a personalized social travel experience,” said DSG president and CEO Gary Prosterman. “We know that under the team’s leadership and guidance, the Kimpton Harper will seamlessly encapsulate the dynamic, laid-back sophistication of Fort Worth in a meaningful way.”

Built in 1921, the future Kimpton Harper at 714 Main St. most recently served as the headquarters of XTO Energy.
