November 4,2019

Reposted from Trinity River Vision Authority

Panther Island Ice returns this holiday season! Located at Coyote Drive-In, Fort Worth's outdoor skating rink brings a winter wonderland of fun and excitement beginning November 22 and operating through January 20.

Panther Island Ice, which features real ice, will be open seven days a week including holidays such as Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Patrons can utilize the ample free parking, along with Coyote Drive-In’s other amenities including covered seating, gas heaters, restrooms, playground and the coyote canteen, which features food, wine and beer options.  Coupling ice-skating with a movie makes for an extra fun experience however; a movie ticket will not be required to skate. Admission will be $13, which includes skate rentals.

In the spirit of holiday giving, Panther Island Ice is partnering with the Tarrant Area Food Bank and every Wednesday, any patron who brings two canned goods to the ice rink will receive $2 off their admission. A military discount will also be available thanks to a generous contribution from Lockheed Martin. And for those looking for a great discount, Tuesday will be “Cheap Skate Night” and feature $6.50 admission. Group reservations and discounts for parties of 15 or more people will also be available. Visit the website for all available discounts. Gift certificates are also available.

Patrons have the convenience of purchasing tickets online at https://pantherislandice.eventbrite.com/. Tickets will also be available for purchase on site.

Special programming will be available throughout the season. For information on programming throughout the season more information will be available on the Panther Island Ice Facebook page.

Panther Island Ice is made possible from generous contributions by our silver level partners  including Blue Zones Fort Worth, Lockheed Martin, Tarrant County College, Tarleton State University – Fort Worth, Dallas Stars and Trinity Metro and our media sponsors 92.1 Hank FM, 95.9 The Ranch, KDFW Fox 4, 102.1 STAR and Dallas Morning News.  All proceeds benefit river recreation and programming on Panther Island brought to you by the Tarrant Regional Water District.
