FORT WORTH (March 4, 2014) – The T’s Chairman of the Board Scott Mahaffey announced today that the TEX Rail project has been included in the President’s Budget for FY 15.

“We are gratified and excited that the TEX Rail project has been designated for $50 million in funding next year. This is a true reflection of our partnership with the Federal Transit Administration and the diligent work of The T’s staff,” Mahaffey said.

In making the announcement today, Mahaffey acknowledged the strong support for the project from the City of Fort Worth, the City of Grapevine, and all the stakeholders.
