Beginning Wednesday, January 7, 2026, water crews will conduct a fire hydrant leak repair at Summit Avenue and 10th Street. Two northbound lanes on Summit Avenue between Texas Street and 7th Street will be closed during repairs. Work is expected to be completed by the weekend.

YWLA Foundation Surpasses Fundraising Goal

The Foundation for Young Women’s Leadership Academy of Fort Worth (YWLA) held their Annual Education Is A Girl's Best Friend™ fundraiser hosted by Adam Jones, Owner of GRACE Restaurant, on Wednesday, November 6. 

Through the generosity of donors and friends, the group raised more than $24,000 to further empower the YWLA students through education and leadership.

Located in Downtown Fort Worth, YWLA is a school of choice offering girls grades 6-12 a college preparatory curriculum with an emphasis on math, science, and technology. For more information on YWLA and the Foundation, click here.
