Best Fort Worth restaurants for dining out on New Year's Eve 2021

New Year’s Eve falls on a Friday this year, and many restaurants are serving lavish specials to toast the end of 2021. Prepare to splurge as most are multicourse prix-fixe meals with wide-ranging prices. But there are more casual options, too, including a party at one iconic burger joint that will close its flagship location after more than 40 years.

97 West Kitchen & Bar
The Hotel Drover restaurant will serve a prix-fixe dinner from 5-10 pm, including choices like Brussels sprouts with crispy pork belly, cream of cauliflower soup with Texas olive oil, cinnamon crusted antelope, and limoncello cheesecake. Dinner is $150 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and includes a glass of bubbly.

Bankhead Brewing
Bankhead Brewing and Blackland Distillery are teaming up for a five-course, chef-prepared, prix-fixe dinner with optional beer and cocktail pairings. Menu includes saffron risotto salmon croquet, "tuxedo" soup or poached pear and beet salad, choice of espresso-dusted filet or crab-stuffed veal chop, pistachio-crusted seabass or rum- and fire-kissed scallops, and blueberry creme brulee cheesecake. For $20 more, pair a beer or cocktail with each course. The dinner is 5:30-7:30 pm, and tickets ($80 or $100) are available here.

The Magnolia Avenue restaurant will host Magic on Magnolia, a magic show featuring magician and mentalist Grant Price. The $55 ticket price includes one beer or glass of wine. Show times are 6:30 and 8:45 pm. 

City Works Eatery & Pour House
The Shops at Clearfork restaurant and bar will host “Brew Year’s Eve” featuring chef’s specials with recommended craft beer pairings. Visit for smoked salmon carpaccio, top sirloin with fingerling potatoes, Brussels sprouts and garlic herb butter, and buttermilk fried chicken. All guests will receive a glass of bubbly and party favors, plus a chance to win a $100 gift card.

El Chingon
Part Mexican restaurant, part nightclub, El Chingon will serve its full menu until midnight, including surf-and-turf burritos, tacos, and tequila cocktails. There’ll be DJ music and dancing until 2 am and note that there's a cover charge starting at 6 pm.

FnG Eats
There are two seating times at the Keller dining destination, 6:30 pm and 8 pm, for a three-course menu that includes choice of soup or salad, entrée, and dessert. Menu items range from filet mignon and Alaskan halibut to shrimp bisque and flourless Kahlua chocolate ganache cake with Nutella chocolate sauce. Dinner is $70 per person plus tax and gratuity.

Fort Brewery & Pizza
The pizza and beer restaurant is in party mode with an all-star concert featuring Fort Worth favorite Josh Weathers along with Mark Lettieri, Adrian Hulet, Lio Saenz III, Blaine Crews, Paul Jenkins, and Daniel Porter. The kitchen will be open until 11:30 pm serving a special elevated menu. Doors open at 7 pm, and party tickets are available here for $25.

Fred’s Texas Café
The iconic Fort Worth burger joint will say farewell not only to 2021, but to its more than 40-year home on Currie Street with a New Year’s Eve party. Visit from 11 am-1 am for live music, ice-cold beer and signature Fredburgers. Stay for a whiskey toast at midnight.

Hotel Vin
The Grapevine hotel will host a Gatsby-style party to ring in the New Year, with a five-course menu served in the Bordeaux Ballroom overlooking historic Main Street. Menu highlights include oysters, lobster bisque, monkfish chateau de boeuf, and passion fruit pavlova. Entertainment includes casino games and a nine-piece band. Dinner is $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity, or book an overnight package for $225 per person, which includes gratuity, dinner, and drinks.

La Onda
The Race Street seafood destination (and CultureMap Tastemaker Award winner for Best New Restaurant of 2021) will host an intimate dining event of seven courses paired with wine, including a champagne toast. Dinner is $250 per person and begins at 7 pm.

Lot 12
Going out with a group? The rooftop bar at Hyatt Place Fort Worth/TCU will host a New Year's Eve party with special packages with private seating available for parties of eight or more. Packages range from the "Riff" ($350), which includes chef's appetizers and a bottle of Poema champagne; to the "Bah Zoo" ($750) with a private cabana, valet parking, bottle of Veuve Cliquot champagne, chef's charcuterie board, dessert board, and a Thermos of hot chocolate or apple cider.

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille
The Grapevine fine dining destination will feature a three-course prix-fixe menu with choice of soup or salad, entrée, and dessert along with a complimentary bubbly toast at midnight in the bar. Dinner price depends on seating time: $75 for reservations 5:30 pm and earlier and $85 for those 5:45 pm and later. Curbside pick-up orders ($75) will be offered until midnight.

Simply Fondue
The Sundance Square restaurant is offering a four-course, prix-fixe dinner special for two that includes individual salads, a shared cheese fondue appetizer, a prix-fixe entrée, and a shared chocolate fondue dessert. The special is $69 for an early seating of 4 or 4:30 pm or $89 thereafter. Price includes party favors, a complimentary glass of champagne, and a $20 voucher per couple for a future visit.

Thirsty Lion Gastropub
The Irish-inspired pub will offer a three-course menu with choice of starter, entrée, and dessert along with a glass of wine. Price varies by entrée, which ranges from black cherry barbecue pork tenderloin ($39) to grilled ribeye steak ($65). The menu will be available from 4-11 pm.

The Southlake seafood and fine dining destination will serve a four-course prix-fixe menu that comes with a half-bottle of rose to take home. Menu highlights include Florida stone crab claws, miso-glazed seabass, chateaubriand, and classic baked Alaska. Dinner is $175 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and will be served until 11 pm.

Wicked Butcher
The Sinclair Hotel steakhouse will serve a fancy,three-course prix-fixe menu featuring items like beef tartare with chile oil, Hamachi crudo, Australian rack of lamb, wasabi furiake ahi tuna, dark chocolate tart, and olive oil cake with citrus mascarpone. Dinner is $85 per person, and wine pairings can be added for $75 more. Dining hours will be 5-11 pm.
