The city of Fort Worth is providing local businesses with free personal protective equipment to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fort Worth businesses can pick up free face masks Nov. 23-25 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at Main Street Visitor Center, 508 Main St., Fort Worth.

Businesses located within city limits can pick up as many as 250 masks in increments of 50 by presenting a business card. Masks will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies run out. Advanced registration is not required.

According to the city of Fort Worth, face masks are currently required in all Tarrant County businesses and at outdoor gatherings with more than 100 people. This applies to employees and visitors at businesses that offer goods or services to the public.

Face coverings include masks, scarves, bandannas, or a handkerchief. Businesses can download free signage supporting the mask requirement on the Fort Worth city website.
