The Fort Worth community embarked on an ambitious goal — to find 100 homes for homeless veterans in 100 days. After eight weeks, the community has housed 105 veterans.

Several community organizations worked together to find those veterans living on the streets a permanent place to call home. But Fort Worth isn’t stopping there. With seven more weeks to go, partners will continue to find a permanent housing for homeless vets this winter.

There are many ways to help. If you’re a landlord or property owner, consider giving a veteran a second chance by renting to them. Businesses, community groups and individuals can collect welcome-home baskets to help veterans establish their new home. Donations are accepted online. The campaign runs through Dec. 21.
