Performing Arts Fort Worth Introduces Young Patrons Club

May 31,2018

Performing Arts Fort Worth is proud to introduce the Young Patrons Club, a social group for young professionals like no other. In addition to exclusive amenities, members will also help make a difference in the lives of local students.
Membership amenities include discounted ticket offers to select shows presented at Bass Performance Hall and McDavid Studio by Performing Arts Fort Worth (PAFW); access to members-only special events; pre-show cocktail receptions; and exclusive pre-sale ticket offers. One hundred percent of an annual YPC membership fee goes to providing tickets to local students to select PAFW performances at Bass Performance Hall. Membership is open to people between the ages of 21 and 40 from all industries.

Elaine Agather, Chairman of the Board for Performing Arts Fort Worth, spearheaded the YPC
initiative. “From the beginning of my tenure as Board Chair, I have been passionate about engaging the
next generation in supporting this beautiful Hall,” she says. “We want this generation to see and
appreciate our facilities and provide feedback about the kind of entertainment in which they might
be interested.”

To gauge interest in the social group, Performing Arts Fort Worth has hosted a handful of test-run
YPC events at Bass Hall and McDavid Studio. “The response was overwhelming,” says Dione Kennedy, President & CEO of Performing Arts Fort Worth. “The people who attended were very excited to be here, to be a part of what we’re
doing and to potentially have input into our future plans.”

Each membership fee will go toward providing tickets to local students for future Performing Arts
Fort Worth shows at Bass Hall. “It was important to us to turn this into more than a social club,” she says. “We wanted there to be an educational component to this as well. That way, members will know their membership fees
are going to good use.”

Memberships cost $50 per person or $90 a couple. To purchase, please call the Bass Hall box
office at 817-212-4280 or visit www.basshall.com/ypc.

About Performing Arts Fort Worth:

The mission of the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall is to serve as a permanent home to major performing arts organizations of Fort Worth and as a premiere venue for other attractions so as to enhance the range, quality, and accessibility of cultural fare available to the public; to promulgate arts education; and to contribute to the cultural life of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, and the region. Built entirely with private funds, Bass Performance Hall is permanent home to the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Opera, the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and the Cliburn. Each resident company operates independently from Performing Arts Fort Worth and manages its own programming schedule at Bass Hall.

Performing Arts Fort Worth, the nonprofit organization that oversees management of the Hall, also presents national touring Broadway product under the Broadway at the Bass banner, as well as programming that includes the BNSF Popular Entertainment Series. The 2,042-seat multipurpose Hall is characteristic of the classic European opera house form. An 80-foot diameter Great Dome tops the Founders Concert Theater while two 48-foot tall angels grace the Grand Facade. Since the Hall opened in May 1998, the angels have become preeminent cultural icons of the Dallas-Fort Worth community.
