Rockin’ the River kicks off July 6th with Kody West headlining the all-day Music and Tubing Festival

Rockin’ the River is back for an exciting ninth year of popular music and tubing at Panther Island Pavilion. A Texas-sized line up including five bands and a fireworks show each Saturday from July 6 thru August 10 will continue what has become a Fort Worth summer tradition along the Trinity River.

Each week, the gates will open at 1:00pm with five different bands playing back-to-back sets beginning around 2:15pm on the Coors Light Waterfront Stage. After the headlining band finishes at 8:15pm, we will clear the water and bring the party to the shore with the fifth and final band playing until 9:25pm on the after party stage before a weekly fireworks display.

Kody West has been shaking up the Texas Music Scene with his mix of Country, Bluegrass and some good-for-the-soul grooves. West will bring his high energy show to the Rockin’ The River stage opening weekend on July 6. Also playing that day is the critically acclaimed Jonathan Terrell and his new breed of country, pulling inspiration from dreamscapes and in depth stories from the gorgeous and gritty corners of Americana. Fan favorite, Jackie Venson brings her blues, soul and funk to the party to round out the first weekend when the show moves back to the land for the after party.

Cory Morrow returns to the series this year on July 13 bringing an aggressive blend of early Morrow sound with a current day perspective off his latest release, Whiskey & Pride. The fun continues all day with Zach Nytomt, Tyler and the Tribe and Travis Parker. Local faves, The Buffalo Ruckus will entertain the after party crowd with their psychedelic postmodern, avant-garde, experimental country-fried rock sound.

Southern Soul Band, Prophets and Outlaws have a new album dropping in late June just before they take the Rockin’ the River Stage on July 20. Fort Worth artist, Summer Dean is Unladylike and unapologetic. Summer is as authentic as they come and was recently named the 2019 Ameripolitan Outlaw Female of the Year. Also taking the stage that day is Copper Chief – who garnered the attention of the USA Network’s country music showcase series Real Country. This central Texas band is passionate about their music which has deep roots and consists of even deeper brotherhood among the three member group.

Zane Williams keeps “Bringin’ Country Back” to Fort Worth and all over Texas with his authentic, mainstream country sound. Zane headlines the Rockin the River stage on Saturday, July 27. Mason Lively continues to make waves on the Texas Music Scene and will grace our stage once again the same day. Look out for Joshua Ray Walker who is no stranger to the stage – he started playing guitar at the age of 12 and never looked back.
Walker is sure to captivate the audience on the after party stage after Zane Williams.

Solo artist, front man and behind-the-scenes songwriter Adam Hood has been leaving his mark onstage and in the writing room for more than a decade. His mix of equal parts country, soul and American roots music will top the line up on the main stage on August 3. A must see that same day is Stephenville-based Shea Abshier and the Nighthowlers. They have become a force to be reckoned with merging the diverse melting pot of Texas Music with an unshakable Rock and Roll foundation. The Peterson Brothers are all grown up and continuing to combine youthful energy and modern influences with soul, funk, blues and jazz to create a unique sound that will keep you rockin’ on the after party stage.

Zac Wilkerson headlines the final week of music with his powerful and soulful vocals and a driving guitar style which creates a new take on Americana, Soul, Country and Rock. Up-and-comer Vincent Neil Emerson is sure to put on a good show earlier in the day along with another rising star, Ross Shifflett. Cap off the night on the after party stage with the transfixing sound of blues artist Seth Walker.
In addition to live music on two stages; food and beverage options will be available for purchase, as well as tube and watersport rentals. Rain or shine, we rock the river. In the event of inclement weather, the party does not stop. We simply move the fun over to The Shack. Nightcap? You bet. Each event ends with a fireworks show right on the banks of the Trinity River.
