Sundance Square Refines Its Downtown Fort Worth Parking Program For A More Pedestrian-Friendly Experience

Over the next several weeks, Sundance Square will launch a new downtown parking program as part of its ongoing effort to transform the Plaza and 1.6 million square feet of office space, retail, restaurants, entertainment and residential living into an even more pedestrian friendly destination.
“At the heart of the new parking program, Sundance Square merchants and restaurants will offer their customers up to 2 hours validated free self-parking in Sundance Square’s perimeter parking garages and surface parking lots,” said Bill Boecker, president of Sundance Square Management.
According to Boecker, “Sundance Square was designed to be a warm, welcoming, and walkable gathering place and destination for our local community and visitors. As Fort Worth gets back to normal, this change will reduce traffic across the campus, enabling folks to better explore and enjoy the Plaza and gathering spaces, as well as our unique mix of restaurants, shops and entertainment.”
A map of Sundance Square’s surface lots and garages is available at sundancesquare.com. Until the new parking program is fully implemented in early June, free short term self-parking will continue to be provided for all Sundance Square customers in its surface lots and garages.
Boecker also noted the Downtown TIF District’s popular free public parking program on weeknights and weekends will continue unchanged in select downtown parking garages including Sundance Square Garage #3.
Pay-for-use valet parking in Sundance Square will be offered at conveniently located valet stands across the campus, complete with a synchronized system that will allow drivers to valet park at one stand and conveniently pick up their car at another. Valet parking stands are being phased into operation with the full network expected to be up and running by June. The valet parking cost will start at $7 per half hour, with a maximum fee of $21 per day. All payments will be digital by credit card. The new full day valet rate is only a $1 increase over the rate which has been in place for the past several years.
