MELT Ice Creams is expanding in Sundance Square with  the opening of a 550-square-foot storefront at 308 Houston Street in July 2019. Currently, MELT has a cart in Sundance Square Plaza which will remain a fixture for guests who have come to enjoy the delicious treat. This will be the third location for MELT Ice Creams, which offers unique flavors such as Cookie Crack, Salt Lick, and Velvet Vegan.

“MELT is a great example of a successful locally owned and operated company that is expanding its brand,” said Johnny Campbell, president and CEO of Sundance Square. “We are thrilled MELT chose Sundance Square for its next location. Sundance Square’s high visibility, ample parking, consistent traffic, special events, and security offers entrepreneurs a proven commodity.”

Founded by Kari Crowe-Seher, MELT has become a popular frozen treat in North Texas for its six core flavors and rotating flavors with the seasons. MELT currently “slings scoops” on West Magnolia in Fort Worth, in Dallas’  Bishop Arts District, and the Happy Cart in Sundance Square Plaza.

MELT’s eclectic menu changes frequently, introducing four new flavors every six weeks. Their six “Always Flavors” are consistent, with 5% of sales from Beans being donated to a new non-profit every year. This year, MELT chose The Center for Transforming Lives, which works to help women and children break the cycle of generational poverty.

When asked about her newest location Crowe-Seher said, "Our MELT family is excited to give visitors of Sundance Square a taste of the local flavor. By joining the Sundance Square family, we get the opportunity to serve national and international travelers who are looking to explore a taste of Texas."

Crowe-Seher has a passion for bringing joy to people’s lives. Serving unique flavors and providing excellent customer service is her way of doing just that.

Since 2014, MELT has been serving ice cream and smiles to visitors and residents of Fort Worth. MELT was founded on the belief that treats can change your day and your day can change the world.
