Beginning Wednesday, January 7, 2026, water crews will conduct a fire hydrant leak repair at Summit Avenue and 10th Street. Two northbound lanes on Summit Avenue between Texas Street and 7th Street will be closed during repairs. Work is expected to be completed by the weekend.

Thousands gather in downtown Fort Worth to rally behind Girls Inc. of Tarrant County

Around 2,000 people gathered at Burnett Park in downtown Fort Worth to celebrate the 2023 Day of the Girl rally hosted by Girls Inc. of Tarrant County. Girls aged 5 to 18 filled the square. Some sang in the choir. Others danced to the beat of a drum line performed by their peers.
