Mayor Betsy Price’s Spooky Bike Ride returns to a fun location this year: the Fort Worth Water Gardens. The ride is sponsored by Comerica.

Gather at the Water Gardens, 1502 Commerce St., at 5 p.m. Oct. 29. Be ready to roll at 5:30 p.m. Street parking and Fort Worth Convention Center parking garages are available.

The event is subject to cancellation on the advice of health experts contingent on the COVID-19 situation.

This year’s theme is Superheroes, and of course costumes are encouraged. Wear your favorite costume and mask. Prizes will be presented for best costume and best mask. Protective masks are required to be worn before and after the ride and anytime bicycles are not in motion. Riders should ensure that any masks and costumes do not impede vision or cycling.

Mayor Price encourages everyone to not just dress the part of a superhero, but be one by donating to the Tarrant Area Food Bank. A van will be onsite to collect dry good donations. This year, kid-friendly food items are needed. Or provide support online.

Due to COVID-19, Price will not host a traditional gathering after the ride. She encourages participants to support a local downtown business after the ride has finished.
